A few days ago the Meteorological Services Department (MSD) announced that cloud seeding had started in some parts of the country to augment rain but farmers feel this is a little too late.

In 2013, Nambya was recognised in the Zimbabwean Constitution alongside 15 others but since then the language has been struggling to establish itself as a dominant language in Hwange, where it is mostly spoken. The shortage of qualified teachers poses a serious threat to the survival of the language.
